Jay T. Reed was part of the successful growth of Aimbridge Hospitality, a Hotel Management Company supporting 250 hotels that quickly grew through acquisitions to the World’s largest Hotel Management group now managing 1,400 hotels in the US, Canada, Caribbean, and Europe. Having guided the company’s IT strategy through 4 acquisitions, it also included supporting 2 different Boards from different private equity firms. Jay’s “One Solution” strategy drove the success of this growth having utilized cloud-based solutions and strong strategic partnerships with Service providers to compliment the extreme growth with a variety of integrations and lower cost consolidated services.
Besides his most recent effort to lead Aimbridge Hospitality, Jay was CIO for Omni Hotels & Resorts, Pillar Hotels & Resorts, Trammell Crow Residential, and was the second-in-command at Trammell Crow Company (now CBRE) and Wyndham International for 10+ years. He has lead IT groups in a variety of companies with a common factor of high growth while also managing through economic downturns in the 90’s, 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001, the financial collapse of 2008, all good preparation for the current pandemic and the efforts to be effective with contracts, budgets, and technology plans to drive growth again.
· Received BBA with a concentration in Finance, and Data Processing and Analysis from The University of Texas.
· Earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Methodist University in a part-time program while working for Trammell Crow Company full time.
· Served on the Board for the Dallas chapter of the Society of Information Management (SIM) for 8 years and was on the SMU Associate Board for MBA students for 5+ years.
· Currently sits on the Marriott IT Advisory Council along with advisor to several other Hospitality technology suppliers to hotels.
